Jade Nine

Major: asian & Asian-American Studies and Mathematic

Jade transferred into Stony Brook in 2018, where they continued their mathematics studies and immersed themselves in the wide range of departments and studies that Stony Brook has to offer. Through involvement in LGBTQ and cultural organizations, pursuit of Asian studies, and courses in Psychology, Linguistics, Philosophy, and more, Jade has expanded their diverse cultural background into a deeper human understanding, and uses this as foundation to pursue further research and studies, particularly at the intersection of technology and society. Additionally, Jade served as an Orientation Leader in summer 2020, contributing their sense of community dedication to help new students feel welcome at Stony Brook.
