Godfrey Awards for Excellence in Teaching
The College of Arts and Sciences Godfrey Awards for Excellence in Teaching were created
to allow students to recognize faculty who go above and beyond.  Recipients must demonstrate a warm spirit, a concern for society and
the individual, and the ability to impart knowledge while challenging students to
independent inquiry and creative thought. They must also show a respect for and understanding
of the permanent values of our university culture.  The Excellence inTeaching Awards
recognize not only excellence of classroom teaching, but also a dedication to the mentorship of students.
Please take this opportunity to recognize a member of the College of Arts & Sciences
faculty who has made an impact on you.
Each year, up to five (5) awards will be given, one in each of the following disciplines:
- Fine Arts

- Humanities

- Life Sciences

- Physical Sciences

- Social Sciences

The nomination and selection process is done solely by students. Nominations for 2025 are now closed.
