Where are you from originally?
I'm from Acton, California, a tiny desert town in Los Angeles County.
Why Stony Brook?
I was referred to Stony Brook by my undergraduate mentor. Considering my interest
                        in postwar through contemporary art history as well as my personality, she thought
                        I would work well with Professor Katy Siegel; she was right :)
On her favorite class:
My favorite class as a graduate student was WGS 601, Feminist Theory, with Liz Montegary.
                        I enrolled in this seminar my first semester on a fluke because I needed four classes.
                        I was terrified I would be out of place, I knew nothing but the basics of Feminism;
                        however, through Liz's guidance and confidence in me, this seminar absolutely changed
                        my life and the way I perceive the world. I am graduating with a certificate in Women's,
                        Gender and Sexuality Studies because of this course, and I am especially proud of this achievement.
