Steel Bridge Testing!

As part of CIV 491 in the fall 2021 semester two student groups designed a truss-type steel bridge spanning 9 ft to meet a prescribed deformation limit and to fail at a predefined load, while limited to a fixed set of materials.

Come and see the final designs and the conclusion to an exciting journey as we test the bridges to failure!
