Required Qualifications MD or MD/PhD. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases.
Board Certified/Eligible in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
Preferred Qualifications Expertise in heart failure / ventricular assist devices with experience in clinical,
translational or basic science research.
Responsibilities & Requirements The Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathy and Ventricular Assist Device Program Center at
Stony Brook University Medical Center’s Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is looking
for Heart Failure/Ventricular Assist Device Specialists at the Assistant/Associate/Full
Professor level. The Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathy Center and Ventricular Assist
Program are all award winning and Joint Commission certified programs with robust
clinical and research programs.
Special Notes Tenure/Non-Tenure Track. FLSA exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions
of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated start
date is as soon as possible. Eligibility for tenure will be based upon applicant’s
qualifications and experience. To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment,
