Required Qualifications
1. DDS/DMD from a CODA accredited institution or equivalent foreign degree.
2. NYS dental license or eligibility.
3. Certificate in Prosthodontics from a CODA accredited postdoctoral program.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics (ABP).
2. PhD, MS or other advanced degree.
3. Substantial experience with digital dentistry (CAD/CAM design and fabrication).
4. Robust scholarly and publication record.
5. National recognition for scholarly activity.
6. Participation in national organizations related to area of expertise.
7. Greater than 7 years of clinical, teaching and administrative experience.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include clinical and didactic
teaching of prosthodontics at the postdoctoral and predoctoral levels; research and
productive participation in faculty practice and administrative responsibilities.
Candidates should demonstrate clear potential for academic growth in teaching, research,
clinical practice and administration. The individual should possess excellent communication,
organizational and interpersonal skills.
Special Notes
Tenure/Non-Tenure Track. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions
of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Eligibility for tenure will be based upon applicants' qualifications and experience.
To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet
the criteria established by the School of Dental Medicine. Anticipated Start Date: January 1, 2019.
