While studies bear out the premise that English is great preparation for law or  medicine, our alumni are living proof that an English degree can lead to a great variety of rewarding careers, and, as importantly, contributions to society. Underlying this versatility is something more fundamental than skills or knowledge of literature - it’s a way of thinking.
