Eligibility

To be considered for the NSF Bridge to the Doctorate fellowship, candidates must:
  • Have participated in a Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program, or affiliated program at an LSAMP-participating institution
  • Have obtained a bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline 
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Be accepted into a STEM graduate program at Stony Brook
  • Plan to pursue a PhD in a STEM discipline, if entering Stony Brook as a Master's student
