About

Civic Holidays are nonpartisan days of action that strengthen and place an emphasis on our country’s democracy. They can bring together a diversified scope of organizations and communities all working towards an end goal of voter participation. The Center for Civic Justice hosts large-scale events to celebrate these holidays and boost civic engagement on campus. 

Semester Intiatives

• National Voter Registration Day (NVRD)
  Celebrated annually every September, National Voter Registration Day involves volunteers and organizations all investing time and effort to broaden awareness and create voter registration opportunities to reach the masses.
• Vote Early Day
  Vote Early Day is a movement of nonprofits, and communities to aim at raising awareness for all Americans to know their options on voting early. The CCJ hosts celebratory activities, such as the Don't Ghost Your Vote Party, to kickstart the Early Voting period and educate the campus on how to vote early!
• National Voter Education Week
  National Voter Education Week  is a nonpartisan voter engagement in collaboration with colleges and universities, corporations, and election officials, to focus on the entirety of voting altogether including, voter registration and voter turnout. Students are educate on topics such as how to fill out voter registration forms, how to fill out an absentee ballot request form, and more.
• Constitution Day
  September 17th marks Constitution Day which is celebrated to honor the Constitution. The CCJ works to provide free Pocket Constitutions and provide information regarding the essential rights of Americans.
