Dr. Yung Kim is a postdoctoral Associate at the New York State Center for Clean Water Technology. He earned his doctoral degree in Environmental Science and Ecological Engineering from Korea University in Korea (2022), where his research focused on dermal exposure assessment of plasticizers from polyvinyl chloride products. He previously worked at U.S. EPA Office of Research and Development as a postdoctoral researcher (2023). He researched target and non-target analysis of PFAS in soil. His research interests include the development of advanced analytical methods for organic contaminants particularly PFAS with target and non-target analysis, and elucidating fate and transport of these contaminants through environmental modeling. He aims to leverage his hands-on research experience to advance public health protection and environmental sustainability.
