Spring 2026 Meal Plan START Dates: dining dollars will be active starting Thursday, January 22, meal swipes will be active starting Sunday, January 25 and meal exchanges will be active starting Friday, January 23. Check the SBU Eats website for the most up-to-date hours.

Ramadan - March 10 through April 9
For guests observing Ramadan, please speak to an SBU Eats dining manager in a red shirt at East Side or West Side dine-in if you’d like to take a meal with you the night before. We will provide continental breakfast and grab n’ go items. All boneless chicken products are certified Halal. Halal hamburgers and hot dogs are available upon request at the grill at dine-in.
East Side dine-in will be open during spring break (March 8 through March 17).
Dining hours at Halal NY at East Side Dining from March 18 through April 9 have been modified to Monday through Friday from 12pm to 8pm.

SBU Eats locations will be closed on Christmas Day, 12/25. If you are staying on campus, pick up a boxed meal at Cocina Fresca at East Side Dining on 12/24 (open from 11am to 5pm).

On Monday, December 11, East Side Dine-In will be closing at 7pm to prepare for Midnight Breakfast Camp Out festivities.
