• What is a Food Business Incubator?
  Stony Brook University's Food Business Incubator facilitates economic development by providing support to small businesses on Long Island focusing on food business startups. 
• Who owns the Incubator?
  The Food Business Incubator at Calverton is owned and operated by Stony Brook University.  It was conceived as an economic engine to enhance Eastern Long Island's agricultural, aquacultural and environmental industries.
• What is the purpose of the Food Business Incubator?

  Our mission is to provide a facility, support and structured growth pathway to enable food product companies to become sustainable and successful on Long Island.

• What type of space do you offer start-ups?
  We have many different types of areas:  shared kitchen areas, dedicated storage, operations spaces and office space are available as companies grow to enable a lower risk pathway of scaling business, with the ultimate objective of outgrowing the facility and becoming sustainable on Long Island.
