Location
Located on the second floor of West Side Dining, the best way to access the LGBTQ* Center is through the east entrance to the building near the Market at West Side. When coming into the building, make a left and go up the stairs, or take the elevator, where you will then reach the Center. Please call the Center for any accessibility needs, at (631) 632-1690.
Fall 2025 Hours (8/25/25 - 12/18/25)*
Monday - Thursday: 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Friday: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Sunday: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Fall Break Hours
From Saturday, 10/11/2025 through Monday, 10/13/2025, the LGBTQ* Center will be consolidating
operations with the UNITI Cultural Center, located on the first floor of the Stony
Brook Union.
You can access all of our regular resources by visiting the UCC during their hours
of operation.
We look forward to seeing you all when we resume our regular operations at 5pm on
Tuesday, 10/14/2025!
Hours for Thanksgiving Break will be announced shortly.

About the LGBTQ* Center
The LGBTQ* Center creates an open and inclusive environment for LGBTQ* people in the Stony Brook community who are interested in finding community, developing their understanding of LGBTQ* issues, and seeking support or advocacy for their needs.
At 1,967 square-feet, the LGBTQ* Center includes a multipurpose lounge, a fully functional collaborative learning area (CoLA) featuring state of the art technology for students to utilize, and a spacious conference workroom. The Center is open for all members of the Stony Brook community to come and relax, meet up with friends, study, and engage in a wide range of discussions.
The LGBTQ* Center is one of several initiatives created by the University to support LGBTQ* communities, including the adoption of the Preferred or Chosen Name Policy (P400), the addition of all-gender restrooms, and the creation of more gender-inclusive housing options on campus.
