Mission

The Writing Research Lab is dedicated to studying how students learn to write effectively in their disciplines, with the aim of improving their education and their career readiness. It supports student retention and intellectual growth through improved writing instruction across disciplines, innovative research, and external community partnerships. The Lab serves a diverse student body, including many first-generation students, a significant number of whom are not well-positioned for college-level writing.
