Interim Senior Associate Vice President for Budget & Financial Planning

Elizenda [Eli] Mondesir is the Interim Senior Associate Vice President for Budget and Financial Planning at Stony Brook University. She is an experienced, innovative and analytical financial leader, who oversees operations, systems and a skilled team of budget and financial analysts to ensure university-wide fiscal responsibility.

Leveraging her expert analytical skills, data mining dexterity and strategic planning,  Elizenda has built an exemplary professional career in higher education. She has held multiple fiscal directorship appointments at the University, effectively communicating, managing and navigating complex budgetary systems. Elizenda holds a Master of Science in Management and Policy, and a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, both obtained from Stony  Brook University. 

In this role role,  Eli oversees and continuously develops an all-funds, multi-year budget model that is centered on transparency, accountability,  the optimization of resources, and financial planning that aligns with the University's strategic goals. She oversees BFP&A, and collaborates with University leaders to direct Stony Brook's planning, analysis, reporting and accountability of University resources.
