Alexander Marbach, Trumpet

Alex Marbach is a trumpet performer and educator from Omak, Washington, a small town
in North Central Washington. He is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree
at Stony Brook University. At Stony Brook, he serves as a Teaching Assistant in the
brass and recording areas while continuing advanced studies in trumpet performance
under Kevin Cobb.
Alex earned a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Bowling Green State University, studying with Charles Saenz, and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Western Washington University, where he studied with Vincent Green.
Throughout his academic career, Alex has cultivated a strong foundation in solo, chamber, and ensemble performance. Most notably performing in brass quintets, wind ensembles, orchestras, jazz bands, and more. Aside from performing Alex can frequently be seen recording concerts at Stony Brook University.
